Meet our Neighbors

Miner County is located in the heart of eastern South Dakota.  Because the major transportation arteries passing through Miner County provide easy assess to Interstates 29 and 90, residents are able to easily connect to the major metropolitan areas of the Upper Midwest.  With its wide-open spaces, un-congested roads, and scenic landscape, stressful driving becomes a thing of the past.

Located on the edges of Highways 34 and 25, Howard, the largest town and county seat of Miner County, is within a 60 minutes drive of Sioux Falls, Brookings, Huron, or Mitchell.  

Carthage is located in the northwest part of Miner County and is within a 45 minute drive of Huron, while Canova, located in southeastern Miner County, is approximately 50 minutes from Sioux Falls. 

The community of Fedora is the western-most community in the county and is a short 35 minute drive to Mitchell, SD.
