Hunting Promotion Workshop results in plans for Miner County

As a result of the Hunting Promotion Workshop sponsored by MCCR, the Southeast South Dakota Tourism Association (SESDTA) and the Center for Women Business Institute held last week, several hunting operators have decided to form a committee for the purpose of promoting the hunting industry in Miner County.

Marketing and promotional strategies were discussed among the various businesses represented at the workshop facilitated by the presenters Jacquie Fuks from SESDTA and Bernie Schram from the Center for Women Business Institute.

With facilitation assistance from MCCR staff, the committee is planning to create a brochure promoting hunting operations as well as other retail/service businesses that hunters patronize. Plans for this year’s brochure includes adding color, and increasing the distribution and the number printed.
