Miner County Construction, Inc. is secured as the general contractor for local remodeling project

A newly formed company, Miner County Construction, Inc. (MCC) has been awarded the bid to complete the remodeling project to the former Sage and Sage Building by June 1st.

A Madison based company; the Global Training Group (GTG) will occupy the building once renovations are complete.

MCC will act as the general contractor for the project while many other local contractors have been awarded various bids to complete the project:

  • MCC - General construction. Mark Shumaker and Cody Poppen have been employed by MCC to perform general construction duties.
  • Canova Co-op - building materials.
  • Terwilliger Electric – for Electrical Remodeling for computer and Internet capabilities.
  • Howard Heating and Plumbing – for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing remodeling.
  • Henry Rentschler – for taping and texturing
  • Lynn Christopherson – for painting.
  • Installation Pros/Dean Strable – for carpet and ceramic tile installation.

Work has been underway for a few weeks. The building will feature two handicap accessible ground floor bathrooms, a breakroom and updated air conditioning and heating systems. Currently, the building has been insulated and sheet rocked. The completion date for the remodeling is set for late in May.
