Announcing the Miner County Heritage Fund this past week, Miner County Community Revitalization (MCCR) Executive Director, Randy Parry said, “We are especially fortunate here in Miner County that people have always been willing to give and share what they have and what they have learned on behalf of others. The Miner County Heritage Fund provides the opportunity for individuals and organizations to support local projects and activities that are so vital to the quality of life here in Miner County.”

The announcement also recognized two of the pioneer gifts to the Heritage Fund representing gifts of cash and of a deferred donation.

Patrick Maroney expressed his appreciation for the recognition commenting, “Being involved with MCCR and with their projects has added more to my life than what I feel I have contributed. I consider it a privilege to have been a part of this effort.”

Gloria Faye Truman explained her early involvement by saying, “I believed in what MCCR was trying to do and I knew that I wanted to be a part of it. Working together to bring about positive local change made sense to me. It still does.”

The Miner County Heritage Fund is administered by MCCR, a public charity. Gifts to the Miner County Heritage Fund qualify as deductions for income, gift and estate tax purposes. Funds may be earmarked for specific projects or programs or may be unrestricted. For more information please contact Kathy Callies, MCCR Development Director at 772-5153.
