Meet our Neighbors |
| With the goal of helping
people in need, the MCCR Housing Committee has participated in the Paint
South Dakota program, sponsored by the South Dakota Housing Development
Authority. Though this program, MCCR volunteers have been able to
help paint five homes since 2002 for people who otherwise would not have
been able to do it themselves.
South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) has sponsored the Paint South Dakota program since 1998. The concept behind the program is to bring people together, provide a fresh coat of paint to a needy household and help beautify the community. To learn more about the program, go to the SDHDA website: www.sdhda.org Anyone who knows of a house to paint is encouraged to nominate a home. Applications must be turned in to SDHDA by April 8. |
