| Because of the limited number of newer homes available for purchase in Miner County, the MCCR Housing Committee decided to take on the role of a developer and build a house for resale. To accomplish this goal, MCCR purchased a Governor's House from South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) and moved it onto a lot in the Greenleaf Housing Development in Howard. | ||

This 1056 sq. ft., two-bedroom home provides a
reasonably priced, affordable home to income and/or age qualified
individuals. Its location in a new housing development, close to ball
fields, a park, and the municipal aquatics center provides an excellent setting
for a new home. In addition to having a two stall garage, the house
will rest on an unfinished basement which was designed for the addition of a
bathroom and at least one bedroom.
